Basswood and timber have a much shorter warranty than PVC as they tend to suffer from changes in heat and can warp or bend over time. PVC shutters are suitable for shower and bathrooms, due to the materials properties. We tend to recommend PVC as they have much longer warranties as they are less likely to suffer from changes in heat and are less affected by UV and direct sunlight.
