Belmont Grove

Roman Blinds

The newly built Belmont Grove Estate; part of the wider Redbank community at North Richmond has some truely beautiful homes. We have been trusted by a number of Belmont Groves residents to finish off their homes with truely beautiful window furnishings.

This modern farmhouses owner had meticulously researched into all of their finishes and had successfully finished this home off to a very high standard. When it came to window furnishing she wanted them to complement each space perfectly. In this ensuite we needed to give them privacy but allow for light to still flood into the room, whilst complimenting this high design farmhouse.

We designed these gorgeous light filtering panelled Roman Blinds. We used James Dunlops “Illusion” in “champagne” which has three layers of woven polyester giving the illusion of a natural linen weave while being 100% Polyester.

We then matched this semi-sheer fabric with a 1-Pass liner to create this soft light filtering look. This combination of fabric and liner gives our client complete privacy day and night but doesn’t darken the room.

The acorn (end of the pull cord) and cleat (to secure pull cord 1.6m above floor) were sourced by a local heritage homewares stockist and matched the tap and handle accents perfectly.

Whenever we install Roman Blinds we do so by mounting them to the face of the wall, usually anywhere between 100mm and 300mm above the window opening. The reason we do this is when the Roman Blind is in its up position we can dress the window and have at least one sweeping fold in the blind and maximise the window aperture. This works especially well in rooms with high ceilings so we can extend your eye-line upwards and emphasise the ceiling height.
