Zipscreen
The Zipscreen brand is our most popular External Blind. It’s the perfect way to achieve that indoor-outdoor living and a simple low cost way of turning an outside space into another room of your home.
Zipscreen External blinds are specifically designed to create neat, easy to use sun protection for outdoor living patio & veranda areas. They can be fitted with a range of mesh fabric ranging from blockout, privacy and clear view options.
By using a “zip” which slips inside a patented channel design, a blind is made that slides seamlessly within a channel. These channels and headbox can be powder coated in a variety of other colours for an additional charge.
The headbox can come as Open, leaving the roll of fabric exposed, Partially Open, ideal for a recess fit and enclosed, neatly hiding the roll of fabric in a clean 120mm x 120mm headbox.
We offer a range of External Blinds from trusted Australian and International brands, come and see us at our showroom to discuss their features and benefits. These can be operated using spring assistance and turn locks, crank arm with geared operation or using motors and remote control.
If you have a picture frame window and don’t want to add any window coverings on the inside then this product is a great option, especially when installed above the window frame to give a seamless finish. One touch of a button and the sunscreen or blockout fabric automatically moves into its closed position given relief from the sun and instant heat and light control.
Wire Guide
The Zipscreen system is also available in a wire guide format. Particularly useful when covering large areas that don’t have sufficient fixing points.
The hardware including headbox and baserail can be powdercoated in a range of popular Colorbond colours. Fabric suitability include, mesh, acrylic and clear PVC.
The U channel side tracks are replaced with high tension wire which is fixed to the headbox and anchored to the ground. The baserail is then guided by these wires during operation.
When motorised the Wire Guide can be left in any position, however we recommend adding a wind sensor when motorising any external awning so that it can automatically retract in strong winds.
When using motors you can also set favourite settings programmed by a home automation app and set up by our installer on your smart phone or remote control. These can also be operated using sun & wind sensors.
