With summer just around the corner, these motorised, “Folding Arm Awnings” are a fantastic way to give much needed shade without the use of posts or structures.

For this Kurrajong project we custom painted the hardware (headbox, arms and componentry) in Surfmist to best match the pool rooms exterior colour. This “Folding Arm Awning” is 5.5m wide with a projection of 3.5m. Depending on your requirements these awnings can go up to 7m wide or can be coupled together for wider applications.

Powered by the Somfy Altus 50 RTS motor, controlled by handheld remote and fitted with the Somfy wirefree motion sensor. We fit these motion sensors as an additional safety feature which we set wind speed tolerances, so if the awning is left out accidentally and the wind picks up, the blind will automatically retract. We strongly advice all of our customers not to leave the blind out and unattended, or be used duing strong winds or during a storm.

This Folding Arm Awning (pictured) has been mounted to the face of the wall, however, there are a number of ways these can be installed including; 1). Mounted on the roof using custom made rafter brackets and seal for metal & tiled roofs. 2). Hung under the eaves using a top fix bracket connected to the rafters and 3). fixed infront of the roof facia using rafter brackets fitted underneath the guttering and clamped onto the roof rafters.
